Designed to act as your office during the day, lounge in the afternoon and chilled relaxing space in the evening, The Lounge is your home from home. With open access to our members from 8 AM until late, 7 days a week, the spaces truly are home from home for our community.

In The Lounge space, we highlight the latest local roasts and blends in our Coffee Library, spotlight spirits crafted from around the country, and stock our fridge with newly released beers and wines from around our community. Drunken Octopus members can come in for their daily cuppa and a chat, sign up for an exclusive members-only tasting, or drop by to taste test what our Industry Partners have stocked in the fridge for that week. Our space is consistently changing to ensure the Wellington hospitality community continues to be at the forefront of the world’s culinary scene.







Finding a quiet spot in the city is not always easy. The Library at Drunken Octopus is a space where you can focus and get a few hours of serious work done without the endless unpredictable interruptions that inherently come with working in our industry. It’s the opposite of working at Table 10.

The Library rules are simple - no phones, no talking, no distractions.

Organise your weekly to-do list, knock out those lingering emails, finalise your newest wine list, and pin down that meeting you’ve been meaning to organise. Reignite your creativity using our wealth of hospitality industry books, kindly curated by our community to share the knowledge of past and present hospitality legends. Flip through our printed publications to keep up to date with industry trends and be inspired by the creatives and thought-leaders of the hospitality industry both across New Zealand and the globe.

We have two Meeting Rooms designed for private one-on-ones or up to 8 members. Each of these rooms is equipped with whiteboards for note taking, heaters to keep your team cosy, and can cater for private lunch meetings or afternoon teas with advanced notice to the Drunken Octopus Host.

Grab a pot of coffee from The Lounge & a carafe of water to help keep the meeting flowing while taking advantage of a central space where you can have those serious chats and get things done.
